I am nervous! I applied online, and they said someone would be in touch with me in about a week. What should I expect?
Thanks
PS--It's like Avon, actually Avon owns Mark makeup..
thanksss=]How to prepare to be an Mark Makeup rep?
I am an Avon rep, so I will attempt to answer, though Mark is a little different. Basically, you will get a handful of start-up brochures. These are usually not enough, so ask for more. If they don't have more, ask when they will. Brochures are really the best way to get customers, and if you don't have enough, it can make or break you. A starter rep will need anywhere from 25 to 100 per campaign depending on how big you want your business to be.
If you are going for personal use, friends and family, 10-25 brochures will be fine. But if you want to earn money, order 50 to 100 brochures per campaign. (Even this might not be enough.)
You will be asked to make a list of everyone you know. You will be expected to contact these people (at a later date) about sales and parties, etc.
Get a separate checking for your Mark business. (It's never too soon to do this.)
Write up an invoice for the items you are buying for personal use at the brochure price. Write a check (or pull cash) from your personal expense to depositi in your mark account. This will quickly help you keep from over-ordering for yourself.
Do you have a certain amount of money set aside to start you business? Put it in your account. This will help you from going overbudget.
These are things a good 'upline' will discuss with you when they meet you. Hopefully, they will enlighten you about some of the pitfalls, too.
I think the big difference between Avon and Mark is that Mark reps can buy a starter product kit. I think it's under $50 and most reps find it helpful.
Hope this helps.
