I would try to use one of the liquid make up removers - the moisturizing or dual phase ones (rather than the oil free ones). That's what's used to remove waterproof mascara and longwear lipstick %26amp; makeup. Almay has a version of that, and there are probably some other brands in the drug store/mass that do as well.
